ACC 201 Financial Accounting – 4 Credits
Focuses on the accounting system used to record, process, communicate, and interpret general-purpose financial information for end-users. Topics include fundamental financial accounting principles, debit and credit theory, unique journals and ledgers, and the preparation and interpretation of financial statements.
Prerequisite: Placement in MAT 115.
ACC 202 Managerial Accounting – 4 Credits
Focuses on the use of accounting information by managers within a business organization. Topics include product and service costing, budget preparation and administration, use of standard costs as a means of managerial control, capital budgeting, break-even analysis, and cost/benefit analysis.
Prerequisite: ACC 201.
